Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tavares, an IHG Hotel

Gisela at the reception desk was very efficient and pleasant. She was able to check me in a bit early and took extra time with me since my Booking.com reservation was not forwarded to the hotel. My room exceeded my expectations. The bathroom was newly remodeled and the lighting was excellent. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I loved the pillows! I was so surprised at the breakfast and all the cold and hot choices. There were scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon and biscuits and gravy. The lady in the breakfast room even came and told me she put out more bacon since she noticed there was hardly any left when I went through the line. The location was great and for dinner I walked over to Hurricane Grill which is in the adjoining parking lot.

Great value for money if you’re just looking for clean and tidy accommodation with no frills. Hurricane Grill a few hundred yards down the road was great for dinner and a beer. Downtown Tavares and the Seaplane base on Lake Dora is just an 8-minute drive away.

Breakfast was good. Location is close to Wooten Park, which is why we were there. Location is convenient to restaurants and even Publix. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom is larger and has a great make up mirror - unheard of in a hotel. We had an end room which gave us 2 windows to let the light in. Last but not least, the staff was very accomodating.

Great location very convenient to Tavares, Eustis, Leesburg, Mt Dora area. Property is well kept. That staff was WONDERFUL! I felt very welcomed and appreciated. The hotel was clean and everything was well stocked. The breakfast was very good and the layout of the food service area was well thought out. I'll stay there again!
